I don't want to take the 401 from windsor,on. to barrie on. Does anyone know of an alternate route?

There are lots of ways to get from Windsor to Barrie... but without taking the 401, all or in part, it is going to take you a long time.  So many roads... so many towns... so many stoplights...

A scenic route that comes to mind... Get yourself up to Sarnia, then take the 402 a short drive to hwy 21... run that all the way up to Owen Sound... catch hwy 26 over to Barrie.  It's a long way to go, but it runs you along the shore of Lake Huron, and Georgian Bay.
