  1. For any public school, you will have to vaccinate your child prior to enrollment.  I understand not wanting to vaccinate them, but if you choose not to, the government can choose not to send them to school every day with hundreds of other kids that they could infect if they do contract a disease of that magnitude.

It does happen - a friend of mine vaccinated her older kids but not her youngest, and her youngest came down with a highly communicable disease...she had to quarantine her child for close to two months and notify everyone her child had been in contact with.  They homeschool, and the weather had been nasty, so fortunately that list was small (though my child was on it).  If she had been in a large daycare system, however, she could have passed the disease to dozens of other kids.

The schools won't tell you that you're required to vaccinate - they can't - but they will require vaccination prior to enrollment for the safety of the other kids there.  There may be a religious exemption that you can get (it requires a pastoral verification that vaccination is against your religious views), but it's difficult.  If you choose not to vaccinate, homeschooling may be the best route to take.

  2. Talk to your children's dr about this. You CAN choose to not vaccinate your kids and can sign a waver saying that you refused. Once you do theat the school CAN NOT deny you! This is law in every state. You can fill out a from that says you refuse on religous bases and I believe there are a few other reasons you can choose including allergies. Agian this is best asked of your children's Dr as he would know the laws in your state best.

  3. this is very hard to avoid. You have to a solid religion base that u r fanatic about that prohibits foreign things in body. you have to follow thru w/ it. then prepare for the rejection your child may suffer in certain activities. and constant hounding from school if they let him attend and the members of medical and social service community.

  4. This is the only information I could find...
