I done the biggest mistake on an Arabic A2 exam yesterday, the last question which question number 3, which had around 8 big question tasks, n the question asked me to write 250 words for 2 of the tasks only, i accidentely didn't read it, and answered all the 8 question tasks lool, do you think the examiner would flop me or they would give me marks? because i didn't read the question properly.

  1. No big deal. It's not that you didn't complete the paper.

    As long as you've wrote up to at least 250 words for all the tasks and fulfilled all their requirements, you won't have to worry about not getting your marks, because there's really no reason for the examiner to give you a big zero just because you did more. But if the examiner's strict then there's a chance that he/she may deduct a few marks from you.

    But of course the examiner will probably just mark the 1st two questions that you've done and ignore the rest.

    PS: How long's the exam's duration? It's amazing how you completed all the questions in time when the time allocated should only be enough for two.


  2. I suppose it depends on the proffessor and how they view it. If they are strict about following instuctions, then you are in trouble. If they view it as you are going above and beyond the requirements, you might get extra credit. It all depends on the proffessor.

  3. Since the instructions are the rules instructing you how to take the test, I think you can be fairly certain you will lose at least some credit.  However, perhaps the person grading the exam will understand what happened and look for content rather than form.  I wish you luck.
