The French International has admitted that he snubbed Spartak Moscow to join the growing Russian Premier League club, Anzhi Makhachkala
Anzhi Makhachkala newbie, Lassana Diarra, has made a rallying cry against racism in Russia, saying that he condemns the racist communities as there is no place for hatred and discrimination in this world.
The French midfielder joined Anzhi Makhachkala from Real Madrid after signing a four-year contract with the Makhachkala-based club earlier this month.

of this brutal and unjustifiable activity.
Diarra, who spent time in different league around the world including Ligue 2, English Premier League and La Liga during his stay with Le Havre, Arsenal FC, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 FC and Spanish giants, appealed the Russian football union to
take necessary steps to stop racism.
“Racism has no place in football. I heard that in Russia there were incidents in stadiums. So, I request the authorities to take possible measures in this regards. During my career I have never encountered racism. I will not pay
attention to these things either because I have come here to play football.” The Cope del Rey winner was quoted as saying.
Diarra assured the fans of displaying quality football and of helping his side in different competitions including the domestic league and the European front. The 27-year-old is of the view that he will quickly adapt to life in
Russia.
The former Portsmouth midfielder went on to admit that he snubbed Spartak Moscow to join Anzhi because he is accustomed to play alongside star players in the past. Diarra admitted that he will get newer experience in the Russian
championship.
Diarra said that the Russian football is becoming famous by increasing their viewership around the world after bringing world class players like Roberto Carlos and Samuel Eto’o respectively.
The FA Cup winner revealed that he cannot wait to play for his new club and hoped for a better start at Anzhi.
