  1. I do agree that they are both different, but they also have big similaries.  People who struggle with either eating disorder are afraid of becoming too fat, feel depressed, and are preoccupied by their weight and food.

  2. bulimia and anorexia are two totally different things. Bulimia is more physical, you cant always control it. Some people subconsiously make themselves throw things up when they eat. Anorexia is more psychological. You cant stop someone from being depressed just like you cant stop someone from not liking the way they look.

  3. Yeah I agree.  They have two different personalities or else they wouldn't be two different diseases. Either way they aren't the same cause one is loading up with food and getting rid of it and the other is just avoiding food and not eating it overall.

  4. Do you mean that the people who have each one have different personalities, or that the diseases have different personalities.

Obviously they are different but there is no way you can say a person with that type of personality has a specific disease.

  5. I agree with the personality difference. But the actual diseases are similar. There are two types of anorexics, restrictive and binge-purge. The second is similar to bulimia. But bulimia also has to type, purging and non-purging.

  6. what are you talking about personalities?

anorexia and bulimia are two totally different things

anorexia is when they eat very little

and Bulimia is when someone intentionally vomits or overeats.

maybe but they are two totally different diseases.

  7. uhh, of course they have different personalities... but any two given anorexics have different personalities as well...

all bulimics are not out of control, sexually promiscuous, etc, as so many things say.

and all anorexics are not perfect, control freaks.

but, from having experienced both, there's definitely huge similarities. it's basically two different tactics to a very similar mind-set
