i don't feel like playing anymore im not one to brag or anything but im pretty good but it just dosent interest me anymore i want to get a job get my license buy a car i was mostly going to play this year for my father he was a star in high school but i didnt really know how to tell him

  1. I think it's pretty easy to be discouraged, or worse - unmotivated - and find interests in other things.

    That's one of the set backs you face when you play "for" someone else.

    However, you could look at it like this...

    it's only a few months of dedicated time, probably some recognition and prestige, maybe a sense of unity and affiliation...

    these are pretty great things to have for those few months...

    and theres still time to get a license and buy a car ...

    and who knows...if you work extra hard and apply yourself, it may open doors in your future.

    If you do decide not to play; I think you should be upfront with your dad so he knows whats up.

  3. Tell him that you strained your v****a and can't play this season.  Better yet, tell him that it was a full-blown rupture.

  4. I had the same problem years ago. I just sat down with him, told him how i felt. But guess what. He bought me a car, paid my insurance, (as long as I played). Went to college with a scholarship. Just be honest with your dad.
