  1. Sweetened iced tea is perfect on a hot summer day.... down south you can stop at almost any restaurant and get a decent glass.

Edited to say that , brewed sweetened iced tea is perfect.... the imitation stuff is for the birds.

  2. Im from the South so i prefer my Iced Tea!

  3. tea is great cold..idk i guess in some places you can get it hot.Tea is served like alot of things cold..just like soda or milk .

  4. I love both iced tea, and hot tea. I can't really pick a favorite, but I think they are both great.

    Have you ever tried it?

  5. its just like coffee someone gets this "great idea" to put ice in coffee, some wit tea. and yet no one puts ice in hot chocolate

  6. Iced Tea is the mainstay of dinner tables in the Southern USA... you dont' see it as often "up north."  Just like other drinks, it has fans and people who dislike it.

  7. Ice tea in the U.S isn't the same tea that you're referring to- ice tea is usually pre-sweeted and flavored (lemon is the most common) and then sold by the bottle.

It's also made in a powdered form, which is more like a soft drink than actual tea.

  8. neither do l

  9. i love it cold!! =D

  10. Tea is thought of differently here than in England.  I also like my beer cold and that is not the case in Pubs in England.  I think it is just our way of thinking outside the box.  Tea is held up to a higher standard in Europe than here.  Here it is "southern" if you will to have iced tea.  Basically everyone here likes iced tea...hot tea is for colds and sore throats.

  11. There are two schools of thought on ice tea in the USA.  If you are from the south your iced tea comes sweetened.  If you are from the north it is probably plain/unsweetened.

If I'm not mistaken in England you drink your tea with milk and sugar.  This would not be served iced but rather warm or hot.

Iced tea is very refreshing on a hot day if it is made from fresh brewed tea.  If you purchase iced tea in a fast food place, many restaurants or bottled you are getting tea that is either made from a powdered mix (yucky) or not much better from a concentrate.  Neither of these tastes like the brewed variety.  I will often order the hot tea, let it brew and then pour it over ice.  Lemon can be added if you like the taste.  Early Grey makes a really nice iced tea as well as constant comment and orange pekoe.  Let's have a tea party.

  12. I love iced tea. I was raised on iced tea in summer here in the US.My family also drank hot tea in any season. As an adult, I drink iced tea all the time- I keep it in the fridge, it's quicker than brewing a cup of hot tea. I like to make different kinds of iced tea in large batches-Earl Grey, Jasmine, Green, sometimes add mint, ginger or sweetener, sometimes not. If I go to a restaurant or fast food place, I always order iced tea. It's healthier than soda and quenches my thirst.

  13. I love chilled green tea, it's very refreshing and fantastic on a hot day. But I wouldn't drink it cold in the winter. Oh & I can't stand that powdered stuff, all it is is straight sugar ewww I have no idea why people call it iced tea! It is flavored sugar water just like Koolaid.
