My parents and I don't get along. We have differe beliefs and such. Today, we have a big argument, and I feel like a bad person. I see people getting along with their parents, and I wish I were them. I'm not exactly bad..I mean, i dont do drug, drink alcohol, commit any crime, etc. I still feel like a bad person...I obey them when their orders make sense..but I hate it when their orders are not similar to my beliefs. It's not like i'm doing something against the law.

Anyone feel the same way?

  1. its called being a teen and no you are not a bad person

  2. You have no moral obligation to believe everything your parents believe.

You DO have to live by their rules while you're still under their jurisdiction.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to argue with them about their beliefs. That doesn't mean you have to believe as they do.

When you're an adult, you can be on your own.

  3. You are growing up and apart from your parents and it is a difficult thing when you want to be your own person and they still view you as a kid.

Try to give them the respect they deserve.  They cannot take your mind so give them space and when you are old enough to leave do so and get your own place.
