Question

in neighbours, all the teens are in year 11. but some are 18 and some are 16. they are all in the same class but if they are 16, they should only be in year 10.

how does that work?

If your birthday is right before the deadline for your grade, you could be the youngest in your class, and vice versa.

There's also the possibility that someone was held back or skipped a grade....

As far as I know .. at least with Zach .. he was a very clever kid and was put up two grades because he had the intelligence and maturity to cope with it...

Where I live 16 is year 11, the 18 year olds might have just been kept back. I don't watch Neighbours though so I don't really know, Home & Away is more my thing.
