I dont get this level 1,2,3 about in the account?

i dont get this it says you start of on level 1 then if you wanna rate you have to be on level 2?how do you get past levels?my heads swuirling.

In a nutshell.. you bank or spend points. If you want to ask a question it cost 10 points but you get some back if you pick one of the ansers as best answers. You get one point for log in (but can only earn one point per day that way). You earn 2 points for every question you answer and if someone else likes your answer and gives it a tick, you get 1 point for each tick.

If you do a good answer and it is selected as the best answer either by the asker or by public vote, you get an extra 10 points.

The levels are not that important except for how many questions you can answer and whether you are allowed to express your thoughts on an answer by giving it a tick or thumbs down.

On level one you can only answer about  20 questions per day and cant give people ticks or thumbs down but can vote for best answer when a question goes to a public vote- so its always worth going back to your profile daily and checking your answers for any that have "in voting" status as you can go and vote for your own answer and increase your chances of getting best answer bonus points.

Level 2 allows your to tick/thumbs down other peoples answers and also ask/answer many more questions per day. After level 2 the only changes are in how many questions you can ask/answer so its really only a status thing with some people just clocking up answers to try to be on the points leader board.

Make sure though that you do try to answer a question and not do something silly like Hi- thanks for the points (which is not an answer) or use offensive  terms etc as a violation will cost you 10points and there are a lot of people out there who take great delight in getting other people violation notices (you will over time get to see a lot of questions asking the rest of us why we think their question/answer would have copped a violation).

You get points by answering questions.  Once you earn enough points, you go up to level 2, where you can answer more questions and do a few other things.

If you look at the top right corner of the Yahoo Answers window, you'll see "Answers Home -- Forum -- Blog -- Help" ... if you click on "Help" it will take you to a page with a lot more information.
