I dont have a class c license but do i need one to ride my moped to school in texas?

my mom bought me one thinking i could use it for school. the lady who sold it to us was confusing she said i didnt need a class c license then she said she wasnt sure and would get back to us. or is there my school's not that far less than 3 miles i figure it wouldnt be a big deal.

MOPED LICENSE.

(a) A person may not operate a moped unless the person holds a driver's license. An applicant for a moped license must be 15 years of age or older.

you need a motorcycle liscense... period...

i dunno the classes look up motorcycle liscense in texas and see if that's class c.... (i drive around in my neighbor hood on my dirt bike, cops have passed me up haven't said anything yet... either they were too busy to deal with me or just didn't see me as a problem.... i do yeild to all traffic tho.... whether or not 'legally speaking i have the right away' or not... (i'm not on the road legally so i don't have the right away, reguardless of what the law says about vheicles on the road legally)

i live in baytown tx (less then an hour east of houston) if the cops do catch you, you'll hve fines to pay at the least...

it's not legal but you could do what my friend did..... have your mom register it, including insurance, under her name.... you'll need atleast that to get/keep a liscense plate on the back so you atleast appear to the cops you're legal (then it's up to you to drive legally soyou don't get pulled over...)

other then that, get the liscense... it's either do what you can to appear legal and drive illegally and hope you don't get found out, or go get legal (and like i said, you'll need a motorcycle liscense, whichever class that is)
