  1. i use at&t  17.99 + phone line

  2. If you don't have a home phone number you need to find a provider that delivers a product called "Dry DSL" or "Naked DSL".

The big guys provide this service in many areas, but not all.

Depending on the part of the country that you are moving to it could be AT&T, Verizon, or Qwest. They tend to only offer Dry Loop WITH a contract, so you will be locked in. And they tend to price the dry loop packages at +/- $10 than the regular packages.

A good provider, that gives Dry Loop service at almost everywhere in the US (or so they say so) is Metro United.

They have no contracts for their DSL, and they offer Dry Loop service at the same prices than their regular packages. I have been using both their internet and the VoIP home phone, and I love it.

Their customer service is really good too (that matters to me).

Their website is www.metrouni.com -- good luck!

P.S. Any provider worth their stuff can move your service as you move too.

  3. we used wquest i think it was 39.99 plus the rental of the modem was an extra 5 bucks.

  4. you can check out AT&T and earthlink.net DSL...
