I dont have a lisence to sell; would i get in troble if i sell out of my apartment. ?

i was looking on line at a wholesales place and they sell stuff in bulk. i wanted to make some extra money for income. can i buy the items and then sell them to stores in my area without a lisence

  1. Some towns, and states have laws about where you can run a business.  The apartment building where I used to live had, as part of the lease, that no one could run a business in the building.

    So you may want to check your lease, and with your town, county, and state laws.


  2. I don't think you need any license in order to sell your own property. There's many sell-by-owner signs out there, just buy one and put it out on your property.

    I got the meaning of your question now. To sell stuffs to the stores, I think a license is needed cos' the store will report to IRS of where the source is and how much (cost). If you want to use your renting apartment to do business, you need to look into the contract to find out. Also, consult your local business council to see if you need a license or not.
