I dont have a trailorrrr?

i want to take my horse to a show to school him. how much would it cost if i had some company thing take him to the show??

depending on where you live and how far away they are from you it can cost anywhere from $100-$1000+

we dont have a trailer either, and so we called a place that was about 20 miles north of where we live to pick up the new horse that we were buying, they said that they would charge a fee for:::

going to our house--> going to the place it was for sale at--> going back to our house---> then back to where they were stationed at

it was ridiculous they were going to charge us $325, so my mom finally found a close friend who let us use his truck and trailer and we only paid $65

so to the point--find a friend, much cheaper

i would just ask somebody that DOES have a trailer to borrow theirs...a bit easier and you dont have to pay.

If you plan on trailering often....it would be best to buy your own. You can find decent/usable ones for $1500 to $2000 or find some that need a little work for cheaper.

lets see there are about 5 of us girls at my barn and the owner of the barn trailers us to shows usualy she charges about $50 and we split it between teh 5 of us. But If you board at a barn talk to teh owner and see if they ahve a trailer you could use, or you could rent one im not sure on the cost of that though.

I agree with the person bellow, if you plan on showing alot it will be cheaper to buy your own in the long run.

Hiring a company would be expensive and troublesome. Do you have any friends with a trailer? I don't have a trailer either but I always team up with someone else going to the same show. They'll be happy to trailer your horse with their's, although it would be expected that you pay for all or half the gas as repayment.
