  1. don't be afraid my hamster used to bite just keep holding on to them they will stop bitting

  2. well put both your hands together and hold your hamster there. If you are scared of him/her biting, wear a pair of snow gloves. That's what I did when I thought my hamster was going to bite me!

P.S- It's spelled 'hamster', not 'hampster'.

  3. Use your index finger and thumb and gently wrap them around your hamsters stomach. Be very careful not to squeeze the poor thing. Also remember that hamsters only bite when scared so try to use small motions. Once you have her in your hand, use your two hands and cup them around the hamster. Take her to a couch or somewhere you feel comfortable. Then let your hamster run on your hands.

If your scared that your hamster might bite you when you pick her up, use a cup and scoop her into it. Then take her to where you want to hold her.

If your scared that she'll bite you while your holding her, use gloves and watch to see if she bites. If she bites, it wont hurt. If she doesn't bite at all you can remove the gloves and hold her without fear.

    Hope this helped!

  4. I hold my hampster under her belly with one hand and under her back feet with the other, I also sometimes just cup my hands and set her there.  Don't be afraid of her!  If she bites it doesn't hurt that much, but usually my hampster only bites when I've held food recently and she smells it.

    Hope I helped!

  5. Ok there isn't anything to be scared of. Here is what you have to do.

When bringing a new hamster home, do not expect that it will come into your hands immediately as the hamster will still be afraid and shy of you. In order to have your hamster to trust you, you should occasionally give him treats and avoid handling him until he will gain trust in you and will come on your hands on his own. This usually takes days or even months! Patience is an important factor. Also, to avoid any bites from your hamster, make sure that you wash your hands well after handling any food or else the hamster could bite you, (as the hamster would think that your hand is food!).

It really works. Hope I helped.

  6. this is how!!

    [[pick me as best]]

take your thumb and your middle finger..

link them together around ur hamsters belly.

    DON'T SQUEEZE THEM.

make sure u don't do that in the middle of the belly.

do it right under their front arms or for us armpits.

if it starts kicking its leg put em down!! or it will bite

if u do this daily you can hold em longer

i like putting my hamster against me when i wake em up because they fall asleep on me!!

  7. OK, just pick her up like you're grabbing... a rock or something (make sure her head pokes out and maybe her butt if she's a large hamster) and then put your hands together, forming a cup, hold her like that. Or you can hold her the very first step but maybe put your other hand under her bum. I just let hamsters crawl all over me, if you don't fear at all in your mind then she won't bite you, if she does it doesn't hurt that much, just put her down if she does.

  8. I had the same problem when I had my hamster. You just have to hold her gently and don't make sudden movements or jump around if she starts moving. Or you can just lay down and place her on your stomach and let her walk around.

  9. I suggest that you put on a pair of gloves first and just cup her up. Do this gently and slowly OVER or IN the cage so if something happens and she falls off your hands, the cage is right there to catch her. Don't scare her. Once you handel her with gloves, observe if she bites the glove. handel her more and more each day until you get used to her and she gets used to you. Once you are comfortable, take of the gloves and handel her =)

    Hope this helps!

  10. LOL@answers. ok here's what I do. Put some sunflower seeds on the palm of your hand and let him walk onto it.  You have to lure him first by feeding him one or two. And then you can pick him up when he's on your hand eating ^^

  11. well dont squeeze him when i got my hamster i accidently did and his eyes started popping out it was so  sacrey but ok so where ever he is just grab him by the middle of his body then when u actully him in your hand cup your hand so he will have a tiny bit of room to kind of turn aroung if he starts climbing over the edges of your hand hold him on one hand till his whole body is on the other hand and so when u put him back in just grab the middle of his body aging and oh yeah do not squeeze it really tight and just put him in how u took him out love to help!

  12. Use a glove too pick her up. It shouldn't hurt if she happens to bite you.

You can just hold her on in your hand but make sure she can't jump off. Once you get used to her, you'll be able to pick her up and not be afraid.
