i usually play with slivers and i always thought that if you know the ability than it is on all the slivers then i use to think that if it is in your deck you can automatically play it and recently i got a new timespiral theme deck sliver evoulution and my friend and i tried to just use the abilities if that card is on the field. so if i could get help on that if someone could tell me how to use the abilities please

  1. It's pretty simple.  Slivers work by having certain abilities or bonuses and sharing them with all other Slivers in play.  For example, if you have a Plated Sliver  (All Slivers get +0/+1) and a Sinew Sliver (All Slivers get +1/+1) in play, they would both be 2/3 creatures.  Add in Winged Sliver (All Slivers gain flying) and you'd have three 2/3 Slivers with flying.  Some Slivers will also give activated or triggered abilities to all Slivers such as Darkheart Sliver (All Slivers have "Sacrifice this creature: You gain 3 life") and Brood Sliver (Whenever a Sliver deals combat damage to a player, its controller may put a 1/1 colorless Sliver creature token into play).  That's why they're so effective.
