  1. Sure it is okay but try sauteing veggies, they are awesome.  Go to my website there are several recipes for sauteed veggies that include green beans, mushrooms, veggie medley and they are easy to make:

  2. you really shouldnt be a vego. just eat the meat. thats why god put animals on the earth. thier amazing tasting.

and its terrible for your body to be a vego.

  3. sure, but if you want variety, search up "vegetarian recipes" on google and see what you find.

  4. sounds good but for an energy drink you  can get some fruits and veggies and then blend 'em! Or you could make a vegatable stew!

  5. Okay from a nutritional perspective or okay from a taste perspective?  It's hard to tell from your question.

  6. This isn't the best method for cooking veggies since cooked veggies ((especially over-cooked, soft ones) lose most of their nutritional value. The rule of thumb with cooking most fresh veggies is to steam them for a few minutes, just long enough to warm them up and release their natural flavor, but NOT to cook them so long that they become soft or mushy. Freshly steamed veggies should "snap" (like beans or carrots when bent in half) or be "crisp" when bitten into. They should also become a bit more vibrant in color when steamed briefly.

If you are a vegetarian, you'll have to practice better ways to "cook" your food in order to be able to retain the proper nutrition from your food. They have these new ziplock steam bags where you can simply toss in all kinds of fresh veggies along with some water and whatever spices you choose (Mrs. Dash is great for steamed veggies) and microwave it for perfectly steamed veggies everytime. This would be a very simple, inexpensive and appropriate cooking method for you to try out.

You could also try buying frozen bags of mixed vegetables and follow the heating instructions on the bag for steaming or microwaving them. Fresh veggies are always best for nutritional value, but frozen are the next best if you can't get fresh ones. Canned veggies are already pre-cooked and have already lost most of their nutritional value by the time you open the can to re-cook them yet again.

Don't be afraid to experiment a little with steaming & microwaving...you can't really mess fresh veggies up too bad!!

  7. Sure, if that's what you like.

  8. Sure it's fine but you might want to try some new things. Stir fry is pretty easy to do. Take a pan and pour a little oil in, wait for it to get hot. Throw in your favorite fresh veggies and throw in your favorite spices. Stir every couple minutes. Cook it for about ten minutes. Good luck!
