I dont know if I should do high school band?

Im very good at reading music and playing the instument but its not in my heart to do it. EVERYONE thinks I should keep doing band because I'm good at it. Im good at a lot of things so it doesn't really matter to me. Whenever I talk to my band friends they are so excited to go back to school for marching band and I'm not excited at all.

I love to play sports and probably one of the best athletes in my city, but no one knows that because I dont show all of myself in school. So me quiting something that Im good at would dissapoint A LOT of people. I tried to quit once but everyone talk me back into it and they were prett mad that I wanted to quit. People just dont understand that I hate to play music and the only reason I got into it in 7th grade is because my dad wanted me too. I didn't want to because I KNEW I wouldn't like it and I KNEW that it would come down to something like this.

SO IM BEGGING YOU. If you or anyone you know or if you have an idea on what to do please answer.

Well you shouldn't try to please others all the time.  Do what makes you happy.  If they won't let you not do it maybe you could comprimise.  Like say you'll do marching band if they let you play basketball or baseball.  Or if the school has pep band maybe you could play for that during basketball season and play football or soccer in the fall.  Hope this helps.
