I am a 14 year old girl and Im not a really girly girl so but i like feminine stuff just not to the max. i like just about anycolor besides pink and purple. Im getting paint in the next couple of days so i have to decide soon. if you tell me a color tell me some ideas that i could to with it. i like birds and trees and flowers and nature stuff like that too. do you think a store would have a bird stencil or something like that. links would be great too if you have time.

  1. check it out:

    made it 4 uuuu!!!!!!1 :D

  2. paint it something you won't regret if your tastes change, so i'd go easy on the extra decorations( like the flowers, and trees). you might decide that you do like pink in 3 years and that green is disgusting.or you might decide that you love black, and green is far from it.pick a color that goes well with your furniture too.

  3. I like pale mint green as it is a 'cool' color - doesn't make you feel too warm and is easy to coordinate other colors to.

My oldest daughter's bedroom was pale green with white trim on the wood and door.  She had one end wall papered with a wood violet flower (purple with green leaves) on a pale green and white striped bkground.  She loved it.

Her bed, dresser and night stands were white and the comforter and sheets were lavendars and pale greens accented with dark green and dark purple.  Bedside rugs were White which it seemed like she washed them every other day lol.

It was a very sophisticated looking room, not too girly but cool and calm looking.

My middle daughter had pale blue, navy and apple green in her room.  Again white furniture.  It was cool looking but more lively.

    Good luck!

  4. I would suggest not going with the flowers and trees, because i know from personal experience that they will get old after a while ;) i have the same thing on my bedroom walls, and i loved it as a child, but now i'm tired of them.  Some people already said pale green, and that would be a very nice colour to paint any room. Also i might sugest very light blue, or navy if you want a darker colour.  My friend has a blue room with a high gloss finish, so it looks like she sleeps in plastic...it's a cool effect but just a suggestion.

  5. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a pastel like "vital yellow" (# 6392) would look great.

You can get cool stencils here:

  7. you could paint it minty green or light blue or hire a proffesional to paint birds and trees on your wall
