what would I major in if I wanted to be an occupational therapist?

  1. You should major in occupational therapy, if possible. It's a more difficult major to find but I know there are some universities that offer it (i.e. University of Findlay). If you can't major in that, talk to an academic adviser at your school and ask what major will best prepare you to get your master's degree in occupational therapy (which you will need to work, no matter what you major in).

    Also research OT grad programs that you're interested in and see what their requirements are for admittance...they may give you an idea of what undergraduate major you should take.

    Some universities offer joint bachelor-masters programs that last five or six years total, so look into that too. It might save you some time and money in doing so.
