  1. This cold be fundamentals of speech or fundamentals of oral communication.  Usually this kind of class would teach you how to prepare a speech, selecting a good topic, strategies to use in oral persuasion and debate. You'll also become aware of how other people react to your words and expressions. In other words, you should come out of this class with better oral presentation skills than when you started.

Of course, one of the benefits of learning how to craft a good speech, is that you can usually apply these principles to crafting a good paragraph or essay.

    Have fun!

  2. it's fundamentals of speech, which is a really easy freshman level speech course.  all i did was give presentations on different kinds of speeches like persuasive, informative, inspirational, etc...

  3. It's fundamentals of speech.  Everyone takes a speech class called one thing or another.  You will learn how to stand up and give speeches.  It's depends on the professor just what goes on but you will learn to be more at ease when doing public speaking.  I hated the class because I don't have much problems speaking in public when I know what I'm talking about and care about what I'm talking about but they will give you topics and you will speak.  It is a mandatory class everywhere.

  4. Probably "Fundamentals of Speech", a public speaking class. If it's anything like the class I've been taking this summer, you'll learn about giving different types of speeches (persuasive, informational, motivational, etc) and presentation techniques (visual aids, Powerpoint, etc).

If you have a good instructor, they'll teach you how to relax so you're not too nervous talking in front of the class. :)

  5. Fundamentals of Speech Composition includes theoretical examination of the process of communication, the role of speech in self-development, the nature of meaning and the art of persuasion. Provides practice in selecting speech topics, analyzing audiences, organizing speech content, improving speech delivery and critiquing speeches via presentation of informative and persuasive speeches. Several graded and nongraded small group discussions sharpen additional communicative skills.
