I dont know where to go on hp.com to restore my laptop?

I have to restore my laptop and im going onto hp.com and i cant find where i would do this anywhere. Please help especially if youve done this before with an hp. Thanks so much! : )

  1. You can't restore your computer from HP.com.  All you can do from there is order some restore discs to be shipped to your house, at a price.

    Here is how, from HP.

    These instructions will walk you (kinda) through either making recovery discs (if you still can), ordering and paying for the discs from an online form, or contacting customer support to purchase the discs.


  2. you fail to mention what model of laptop that you have , but most HP laptops have a restore partition on the hard drive and it can be restored by pressing the correct function key repeatedly on startup  , Its usually F10 If I remember correctly  , and you will then have the option to do either a non destructive or a destructive restore  . If you do a destructive restore (Which I suggest if you have viruses or malware that you cant get rid of ) you will need to save all files that you wish to keep to disk or an external hard drive

  3. The only thing you could get from there are some drivers. If you need to reinstall windows or anything, you'll need to have the cd. After that, you can visit microsoft.com to download updates, get service pack 2, drivers, etc.
