I dont like this furniture?

Question

i have this old dresser and nightstand that used to be my moms, and she gave it to me when she got her own furniture. i've had it for all of my 14 years i've been alive, but now i want to redo my bedroom, and i dont think the dresser matches very well. its kind of old fashioned and i dont know what to do! we can't afford a huge bedroom set, but i kinda want a new dresser, really bad. please help!

hha, i have the same problem. i'm too lazy to stain it, (even tho, it's cheaper, and if you can, than do it)' so i think i'm buying something from bed bath and beyond or ikea to replace the furniture. the old thing i have now is actually antique (lmaao), so i can sell it & get something ..normal :)

Look on Craigs list in your area. People are selling stuff like that all the time, for SUPER cheap! Good Luck!

Old furniture is really great if you use it in the right way...try looking around on this website and use it for ideas.

hi

try sanding off the old stain (if it is stained) then painting with waterd down emulsion and wipe off. it will give a good finish and you can do it any colour you want.
