  1. Beans are a great source of protein, especially garbanzo.  I know this because my son refuses to eat meat and I had to find other ways to get him the nutrients that the body needs.

  2. You may notice some changes in your body when you go from eating meat to not eating meat.

Nuts, legumes, soy, are all very suitable choices for meat replacement.

I've added a website below for your reference, for recipes and nutritional information☆

  3. I don`t eat meat either.

  4. Yes your buds just might have changed.

Just take vitamins and get protein from other sources.

Fat free skim milk has 8 grams of protein per cup.

So 3 cups of milk a day would be 24 grams of protein.

It all depends on how much you weigh, but protein builds muscle.

And since youre a girl im not saying you want or need to BULK up, but building muscle as in staying lean, helps burn fat too.

So you do need your protein if you want to keep a lean and toned body.

And stuff like yogurt has about 5 grams of protein, so you can still get it from other things.

    Theres also chicken veggie patties.

It has a different taste, is not mean, and still has about 14 grams of protein per patty

  5. i don't like meat much either... you can get protein from nuts, milk products... recently i am enjoying eating fir tree cone sprouts, they're rich in protein...

  6. Hi I dont eat much meat, like you I am the same, sometimes I can stomach it other times I cant, as long as you are eating cerals, and other things you will be fine, I went to the doctors and my blood no amnemia and she asked me if I ate red meat as my blood iron is high I said no im not into meat really, and she wondered why, I said I do love cerals and like a wide range of things but it doesnt contain much meat and she said everything is fine.

So if you are eating various things like pasta etc, and rice you will be fine,.

  7. Have you been eating alot of veggies/fruits for a long period of time? if so your body wont take the meat. but if you havent try a doctor.

  10. Hey, Ashley, I'm so glad you asked this question.  What you need to eat is a wide variety of fresh veggies/fruit, beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

I have been a vegetarian for over thirty five years and am as healthy as a horse (that's because I eat like one - HaHa).

Be sure to get a source of B12.  That is usually not a problem unless you are a total vegan - then you can get it in soy milk and other fortified sources.

I hope your family will be able to support you in this, because that will make it a lot easier.  Above all, fill your body with the healthiest, best fuel possible.  You'll thank me later.  :)

  11. Pregnant, by any chance?

Try eating soy and tofu in place of meat. Eat lots of beans too. You can find lots of recipes here http://www.vegsoc.org/cordonvert/recipes...

  12. I have the same problem as you and I tend to find that eating veggie burgers gives me more of the vitamins and eating yoghurt and cheese gives me most of the protein. You could also take vitamin and protein supplements.
