I dont see the big deal with our parents naming us?

Question

Okay, I'm one of four girls.

My parents met when they were young teens.

They got married young and had their first kids when they were 21 & 22.

Charlotte Rae & Nicolette May.

[notice the "Lette *ay & Lotte *ae"]

Then when they were 31, they had me.

Olivia Jayne

They then had Alia Layne.

Olivia and Alia [Ah-lee-ah] Sort of have the same sound, i see it too. And obviously Jayne and Layne rhyme.

I think its sort of silly, but i never had a huge problem with it.

But Alia really cares. She finds it embarrasing saying she has 3 sisters.

"Charlotte Rae, Nicolette May, Olivia Jayne & she is Alia Layne"

Say them all, and they sould poetic.

I was just curious as to what you thought?

its a bit weird with all your names ryming somhow you should have your own indervidual name that is not linked

Yeah if were me i'd be a bit like Allie and have a strong dislike for it. But whilst you go by your nicknames or names aren't seen together then they are pretty names.

A little matchy but since you go by those nicknames it shouldn't be a problem. It could be a lot worse, eg. Madison, Addison, Hayley and Kayley.

i think all the names are just fine. your sister should not be embarassed at all!  mom and dad chose some really great names for you guys and it really doesnt matter how they sound or end together! you are who you are and the names are quite nice! be proud!!!

Very nice names, all of them.  When your sister lists them off, she can skip the middle names, then they won't rhyme so much.

I do see your concern. The first names I dont really see a huge issue beacause they arent too closely alike and there is always nicknames, but the ryhming middle names is a bit odd.
