  1. Everyone over the age of 18 is able to vote, for this you must be placed on the electoral roll. You can be put on this at 16 ready for when you are 18 and legal to vote. Every house gets sent a copy of who is on the electoral roll and present in that house, as you must have a fixed address in order to be on it. So basically its a list of people who are able and legal to vote.


  2. In the UK everyone over 18 must by law enter their names on a register of people entitled to vote.

    This known as the Electoral Register or the Electoral Roll.

  3. its the roll (book) of everyone registered to vote. Each state usually has their own records :)
