  1. You can try filling the tub with warm water and a jug of vinegar and running the jets for a while to see if that helps clear the system. You can also do the same and try a cleaner called CLR (Calcium, Lime, Rust remover). If it doesn't work, you may need to just replace the parts.

  2. Don't clean, replace the rusting part(s).

  3. Sounds like there is rust someplace in the lines.  I would fill it up and let it run for a while or you might have to check the lines if that doesnt work.  You should call a plumber and get their opinion

  4. Even if you don't use the jets much, there is still standing water in the pipes that can collect rust and mold. Fill the tub to about 2 inches above the jets. Pour in about a cup of bleach, or Clorox Cleanup with bleach, and run the jets for a few minutes. (DO NOT sit in the bleach water!!!!) Then fill up the tub again with plain water and run the jets again to rinse out the bleach. The bleach cleans and kills any mold that may have built up.

Side note: Before you use the bleach, check with the tub manufacturer or a plumber or read the bleach bottle label first for any surfaces that you shouldn't use it on. I use it in my  new acrylic tub, but I'm not sure about other or older materials.

  5. eww that question sounds like you mean something else....

  6. Use a toothbrush or some type of utensil that's small enough and has bristles! : )

  7. CLR with water deep enough in tub to run the jets. Let it run for 30 minutes....drain it ...then fill it again with clean water. add 2 cups of baking soda to neutralize the acid in the CLR.

You might also want to use a wet/dry vac to suck out the jets for anything that might be left in tubing.
