ok so i have braces....and in 7 days im getting glasses..i definately do not wanna get glasses but im near-sited so i have to...!!!

do you think i will look like a geek??..

will people make fun of me..??

your not going to be a geek but some people who are insecure will make fun of you anyways cause it makes them feel better. But if you are worried get contacts for a minior depending on the insurance you have you will probably only have to pay 30$ for a years worth GOOD LUCK

I don't think having glasses and braces are such a bad thing.  Glasses are so so common these days and so are having braces (especially in the younger teen years).  I didn't personnally have glasses and braces at the same time, but one of my good friends did and she still had tons of friends.  It's what you make of it.  Think positive and things will go good.  Otherwise, there is always contacts and the braces don't stay on forever.  Good luck.

They probably will...but you have to be strong. Get really stylish glasses and everything should be fine. Also wear nice cloths so instead of people making fun of you calling you a "geek" or a "dork" then they will say "Hey that's a nice outfit your wearing" or "I really love your shoes or your glasses" or something like that.

It depends how you carry youself. If you act confident, friendly, and fun, people won't even notice your braces and glasses; they're only noticing your shining personality.

ok i have braces and glasses and im very smart and skipped 1 grade and is a jock and i have loads of friends and im actually popluar. no one has ever called me a geek. i think im very confident so confidence really helps. also dont get big glasses! if u r like geeky and wear like granny clothes and big glasses then ppl might make fun of u.

They might, unless you're already considered cool.  Your friends probably won't care but you'll probably get picked on since you don't seem like you're in the "popular" crowd.  Sorry but yes, you will look like a geek.  Don't worry what people think of you.  Act confident and people will respect you. =]

you may, you may not. braces and glasses don't make you a geek. if you wear your pants up high with suspenders, love math, and you have a pocket protector then yah your a geek. if your stylish and fun then you will look like a teen with braces (EVERYBODY HAS THEM) that wears glasses. you can always get contacts. i wouldnt be concerned about braces and glasses because you cant controll those things. just get a stylish haircut and be fashion minded and you will be fine!

As long as you choose glasses that are nice, you'll look nice. Make sure they're stylish. People will only make fun of you if you've got coke bottle lenses and bright green frames. Glasses can make you look sophisticated.

You can always wear contact lenses if you're that insecure. I also have braces but I wear contacts. People have always complimented me on my smile, even strangers, so I don't think you need to feel so bad about yourself. Sometimes it's all in your head really.

ouch... get teh glasses but try to get contacts too.. that way u can sport ur glassees while at home etc.. contacts while out in public... soo unfair to be delt both at the same time! i got that too.. but i just never owre my glasses.. lol but i do not reccommend that especially if you are driving!

people can be inconsiderate sometimes but just shrug it off.

friend potentials will be your friends because they like who you are.

but if you feel really insecure, get cute colors on your brace bands or ask your parents if you could get cute glasses.

besides, think of how pretty you'll look when the braces come off in a couple years! your teeth will be perfect and trust me, most guys secretly like girls with glasses.

No I don't see the deal with having glasses and braces. Just get some glasses that reflect your personal style, ones with cool frames, and your all good. Almost every kid gets braces nowadays, so it is really okay. At least your teeth with straighten up. No biggie.

i have braces & i don't wear glasses but i want glasses

they have some hawtt glasses out know especially with the colorful frames. you could really jazz up your outfit with glasses and assessories.

glasses aren't that bad at all

you have to work with what you got

& don't worry you won't look like a nerd

& if someone tells you that  you do say "i'm a cool nerd

& nerds get good grades"
