I used to live in England and I did Ice-Skating lessons. I got really good but then i movedto new Zealand. They only have ONE ice rink here and thats in Auckland but i live in Wellington and their like 7 hours away [by car] And today i went to see HSM on ice and it was really good and reminded me of when i used to skate. I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. Any suggestions? get over it? Do something about it[like what?]

  1. you can do roller skating with a skating boot!

    www.picskates.com

its basically the same idea, all you need is a surface (the clearer the better)

but dont just get regular $20 rollerblades unless you are a beginner who just does it for recreation.

have fun in new zealand :D

  2. I suggest waiting until your old enough and you have enough money to move back to England.

  3. They were going to build one:

Maybe start a petition and take it up with your local council.

  4. start doing pushups, then roll over and do crunches.

after that start jogging as long as you feel like it. will get your endorphins up, relieve your energy, make you miss skating more dimly

  5. Take up quilting.

  6. I know, I skate and I live in New Zealand. We do have rinks, theres just not one in Wellington, but I hear that there is a proposed one coming. I live in Christchurch, and we have Alpine Ice (lucky me!).

In the mean time, you could try getting your parents to buy you some synthetic ice. I hear its just as good as the real stuff, only you would have to get your own skates. There are two guys in NZ who sell it, its pricey, but if its what you want...

I cant find the other man, but this one was helpful when we were inquiring about it.

    GOOD LUCK!

  7. Send a letter to the council or whatever they call it there. and describe how it will benefit for children and youth and how it would be a good idea. but whatever you do never quit because in the long run you will regret it so much. do something, bout never give up because you dont get anywhere without trying!!

Good Luck and remember dont give up because one day you will be one of those people on an amazing production like HSM! :)

  8. wait for winter and make a rink in your backyard.

put up plywood fill it with water and viola!

or just skate at one of these ten rinks i found that are near you =]
