I doubt Kimchi belongs to Korean or Japanese?

  3. I am quiet sure it belongs to Korean. When I worked in Saudi Arabia, I've seen it in the menu book of a Korean restaurant and back here in Cebu I saw  also picture of  a food with word kimchi under it at a billboard of a Korean restaurant too.

  9. well to be specifics Kimchi food is originally originated in KOREA & because it was very famous there, a JAPANESE chef manager decided to bring the famous food in KOREA to JAPAN but modify it a bit to make it a JAPANESE STYLE & the rest is history... :O

  10. Fremented cabbage or vegetable dishes can be found in almost any country.  It is the recipe that is unique to a country.

    Kimchi is a Korean dish, and was most certainly introduced into Japanese cuisine.
