Question:

I downloaded AVG free edition security but I d'nt have AVG logo on desktop and nothing on my Yahoo home page!?

I am not sure if I am protected. How can I find out I have AVG security

protection or do not have it. I sent them an email but they said are not able to assist millions of customers. PLEASE HELP.

  1. try installing it again as set up might not have been completed thats why the problem occured

    you can also try installing avast instead of avg as it is better than avg.


  2. Look by your clock with your other icons do yo see it there? If its ther and not greyed out your fine..


  3. Click on start->Program files->and see that is your AVG is there or not

    If its there then you can configure the security options

    If its does not then probably you have to re-install the application

  4. I use the very same program and have no problems with it, as yet.

    But if you go into your start menu, then programs, then AVG 8.0 then select the AVG free tray Icon, it should put the program and Icon into the system tray and everything should work as it is supposed to.

    If not go and D/L the program again or re-install it.

    I did have a glitch earlier and correct that glitch by re-installing the program.
