I downloaded Antivirus XP 2008 from download.com and got this instead...

Trojan horse Agent.ZAK -- a generic detection for malicious files that can download and execute additional threat on the computer without users knowledge. Please somebody tell me how to get rid of it...AVG isn't working on it...

download.com doesn't have AntiVirus XP 2008

that is a fake program

Download MalwareBytes AntiMalware to remove that program

Antivirus XP 2008 is not even a available as a download from download.com unless you got it from a ad on that site. The bad news is that Antivirus XP 2008 is a dangerous program itself that flags a lot stuff as a virus that is not. Get rid of  Antivirus XP 2008 as soon possible. Hopefully you have not removed anything that program told you to because that in itself could weaken your system defenses. Download Malwarebytes Anti-malware scanner to remove it.
