I downloaded Win Antivirus 2008. Now, I can't get it off of my computer. I deleted from control panel?

It is off of everything except the icon on my browser, and the screens keep popping up saying I need to buy the program and erase the errors it found. Does anyone know how to get it off of my computer completely?

I had the exact same problem and spent hours with trial and error. Finally, I found the solution.  Simply, restore your computer - you wont lose any data.  Go to start  - click all programmes go to accessories then click system tools and click on system restore.  choose any date before you had this problem - last month perhaps. And hey presto! Glad to have been of assistance.

I had this same virus a couple of weeks ago.  I ran the free scanner from Microsoft (link 2) and it cleaned it off completely.

Yu are infected with a serious spyware program.  go to www.ewido.net and run a spyware scan.  After that you may also want to restore your computer to a few days ago.
