I downloaded a movie file and a music file and I want to delete the file from the folder but I cant. Help!!!!?

When I right click on the file to delete it. It doesnt have the delete option and the file wont even play. How do I get rid of this file. All my other files I can right click and delete except these 2. Why and how? Thanks.

does it give you any kind of message when you attempt to do so? It might say it is corrupted or it is being used by another program. In either case you want to download unlocker @ http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ which will help you delete it. If you don't want to download a program my best advice is to shut down your system then go try delete it again. It should then be deleted successfully. Safe Mode is your option too and works the same as simply right clicking and deleting it.

When all else fails boot into safemode and delete the file from there.  Just reboot your computer and start hitting the F8 key, then choose the safe mode boot option and log in.  Windows will look ugly, but it should allow you to delete the file from there.  Hope this helps.
