I downloaded lime wire onto my macbook and i'm already paranoid.does limewire do anything harmful to macs?

you can download Limewire from www.download.com and once uve downloaded that u can upgrade to pro for free aswell but! you have to browse threw limewire to find limewire pro. the one u want to download should be labeled "lime wire lime wire pro" or something along that line... but the answer to ur question is no limewire doesn't give u virus' as long as u are downloading it from the right source :) because i have been using limewire for over a year and a half now and it hasnt given me a single virus yet! but if its one program u want to avoid downloading its called "bearshare" THAT will give u viruses

I love how MAC owners think they are so secure. It doesn't matter what OS you have, or how much you spend on a firewall, you are never completly safe. Hacking MAC's and other UNIX systems is becoming more common everyday.
