I downloaded sims 2 stuff form the sims 2 website?

I've done it before and had not problem with it but now it's not working. Every time I got to my sims 2 I have no towns and none of the things I downloaded are there. I'm not sure what to do, any help?

it ends up in a downloads folder. go to

my documents>>EA games>>The sims 2>> downloads

and all your files will be there. i'm hoping that you know how to send them to your game from there, because i don't!
