press f11 then look it should say near the bottom nds cartrige backup media change to FLASH512kbytes need more help looke here

did you extract the nintendo DS game from the RAR file?

Change save type backup to flash 512k.  This should allow you to save ingame, unless ur rom is totally stuffed (majority).   If u cant save ingame (i.e. black screen when continueing) get the best saving rom here
