I wake up often. I get up to pee 1 or more times a night. I wake up scratching myself down there... I wake up gasping for air. I dread going to bed.. I know it will be yet another night of horrible sleep. I'm so depressed I can barely stand it. I've gained a lot of weight.. I eat a lot. I drink a lot to ease the depression and I'm too tired to function. It's ruining my life. I have a sleep study in 3 weeks, but until then.. I'm at a loss. I hate my life.

  1. go to a doctor , because this is too much .

  2. Hi there

sorry to hear you have sleep problems i suffer the same and have done for years i only sleep an hour or so each night then after a couple of weeks like that i will get a good 8 hours in but i can tell you now from experience drink actualy makes the problem much worse if you drink regular

leave off the drink and have a couple just before bed a couple of times a week but no more i promise you'll see a difference and lay off caffine after about 8 in the evening decaf is just as good

  3. you need to start seeing someone asap...you're def in a deep depression... social workers are very easy to talk to and easy to get apts with. i suffer from depression and i find the only things that work that i can do on my own are keeping a schedule wether working or not i always go to bed at a certain time wake up early and keep myself busy throught the day. also make time for excersise even if ur just going for a walk for a half hour, excercise is a natural antidepressant. but def make the apt to see someone cuz a sleep study is not really going to do much for you. speaking with a professional that can give you different ways to think and react to everyday situatons... they def are a HUGE help

  4. More than 2 standard drinks will act as a depressant, and alcohol interferes with nornal sleep: first sleepiness, then wakefulness! It causes the requirement for more frequent urination.

It also causes muscles to relax in your airways, collapsing them so you can't breathe. This is called sleep apn(o)ea, and is addressed in section 3, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris (view page O first, then page R in section 2, and the rest of both sections).

You will either have to wear a CPAP mask, attached to a machine, or special plastic inserts, or an operation (not recommended). Weight gain adds to the problem! See section 56, at ezy build about this.

I advise you to print, or note this information, and go straight to a doctor, and get started immediately, (your brain is being starved of oxygen: urgent treatment required!!!) and ask for something for your itching. Alcohol is addressed in section 52.

It is up to you to help yourself, and improve your life, and I wish you well in this.
