asked my hand for marriage....i didnt want to even know about him b/c i thought he was balding and ugly.....[this is a dream]

I believe it means that you are looking at a life changing event.  Choosing a school, or career.  If you look at it for what it's worth, it may not be the right choice - but, it could be - sometimes things don't look good on the outside, but work out.

Just like in real life, don't rush into anything and weigh your options.
