  2. Know your body. This depends on you. Scientists and nutritionists go back and forth on this issue all the time. If you are working out and spending a lot of time in the heat, more water is a safe bet. The heavier you are the more water you need.

    A good way to check if you are decently hydrated is your urine color. If it is clear, you are over-hydrated and thus in fine shape for the heat. In most conditions, light yellow is healthy. Most websites will tell you it should always be clear. This isn't necessarily true.

  3. too much water is actually bad for you you can actually end up in the hospital by over hydrateing what happends is when you drink too much water you wash out your bodys electrolyts and your body needs those to function
