I drink a lot of diet coke and coke zero.....?

Will this have any bad effects on my internal organs? I avoid the regular coke as it brings a load of red pimples out on my face lol but I heard the normal coke is actually better for you because the sugar is natural and there aren't any unnatural sweetners in there. Is this true?

  1. yes... unless you're diabetic.  Artificial sweeteners, especially asparatame, have links to cancer.  In addition, the carbonation is bad for you.   I've heard that coke is an excellent toilet bowl cleaner, because it dissolves lime deposits.  Just think what that does to your stomach lining!


  2. As long as you drink it in moderation then regular coke is better for you. As you said the sugar is more natural and our bodies can handle it better. At the end of the day if you burn off more calories than you consume then regular coke does not matter. However, all soda's, regular and diet have many artificial ingredients in them so they all are not really great for us. But again in moderation they won't harm you.

    Now in large amounts even diet coke and coke zero can harm you. They still have caffeine in them. Cokes normally have 35 mg of caffeine per serving. A serving is 8 ounces. The maximum safe level of caffeine intake we can have in a day is 300mg. Long term use of excess caffeine can result in sleeping problems, severe dehydration, kidney problems, heart problems, skin problems, and other organ problems.

  4. there isn't a  conclusion on the safety of artificial sweeteners. It is FDA approved but as the artificial sweetener is in so much of our foods and drinks especially diet stuff which is a big business it wouldn't surprise me if it is still on the market due to its money making capabilities. However an italian researcher tested artificial sweetener on mice and their rate of cancer went up, he went onto say he would not consume artificial sweeteners himself...

  8. No sodas are "good for you" but I've heard that artificial sweeteners are worse than high-fructose corn syrup so I would stick with regular coke.

  9. That fake sugar causes gas and other problems. Drink regular. Many people I know who drink diet drink like a case a day.
