It depends by what you mean 'regular.'

Also, it's important to note that alcohol use or abuse is usually a sign of other aspects of personality, i.e. someone who drinks to much and gets hangovers has poor impulse control, someone who gets alcohol poisoning or causes problems in their lives because of alcohol lacks good judgement, and these things definitely do turn girls off.

So while your gf might think it's hilarious that you took off your pants and did the macarena at a party at your cousin's house, it may still make her not want to date you.

It's definately a big turn off to me.  A drink here and there is okay, but excessive drinking is very unattractive.  I want my guy to take care of me- I don't want to have to take care of his drunk ***.

Honestly I think it depends on the level of drinking you're doing. If you are blacking out and being a belligerent drunk every night, then yeah, that is a definite turn-off. But if you can handle your drinks and aren't being a jerk while doing it, I don't think it's really a major turn-off. All girls are different so it also depends on how the person you are interested in feels about it if you're worried about turning them on or off.

There's nothing wrong with a couple drinks during dinner or at a club...there's nothing wrong with getting smashed on rare occasions...But if you're the type that never stops until you get noticeably buzzed, even if you're the entertaining type; yea a lot of chics are going to have a problem with it. Shows a lack of responsibility also hints that you might have future substance abuse issues too.

I suppose that I would be concerned about the girl that was not put off by your drinking.

I suppose that most of us drink upon occasion, but if it is regular, you may overdo this without realizing it.  Reduce your regular use for a while, see if there is a difference.

Honestly, most people wouldn't mind a person who drinks everyday so long as it was in moderation. If the girlfriend turnover rate is high you might want to look at other things and not just the alcohol.

I know I couldn't last with a dumbass who didn't look after his appearance, worked in a **** job with no motivation to do better. But having said that, I could easily ignore all the above if the person was kind, considerate and funny.

Alcohol should only be an issue if it is a really big part of your life.

well no girl likes to be with a alcoholic. And im not saying thats what you are. But if the writing is on the wall..... But yea thats a turn off unless the girl is the same way. Trust me i have been raised by a single dad whos a alcoholic although a functional one. It still hurts and i would never in a million years want a guy that drinks or gets drunk regularly. And i deffanately wouldnt want to make a family with him, if thats what you want in your future. I wouldnt want my kids to go through what i did. Open your eyes no girl wants that ok.

well i dont have a problem with drinking on occasion or going out on the weekends but there is a line that needs drawn too. i think someone can drink too much or regular and i would probably move on. but on the other hand...i would not walk away from someone i could love (a good man) just because he drinks regularly (as long as you dont get smashed every night...im talking a few beers after work)

it probably depends on what time of day etc.

i have a glass of wine every night whilst im cooking dinner, but only one. and my partner has a beer, and obviously on special occasions we have more.

my partner sometimes comes home from work on a saturday afternoon and goes for a beer.

whereas my bf's mate drinks loads evry night and sometimes even wakes up and finishes the one he left on the side from the night b4. i think thats a turnoff, why get drunk every night?
