I drive a 2008 chevy silverado. i want to upgrade my (4) door speakers?

its an extended cab and both my front and back speakers are 6 1/2. im not planning on changing my stereo so would it matter how many watts my aftermarket one will be. and would there be any ploblem with the way they fit

My rec to you is to wait until you do a complete system before you choose to replace one part of your system, here is why, GM/Bose has spent millions in r and d of the speakers and placement, along with the sound system, you are talking about arbitrary replacement of speakers, without really planning the overall system-don't do it, wait until you can change the whole system-just my opinion, however,

yes it does matter on watts if you get a really low amount of watts the volume will be very low... your best choice is going to circuit city or bestbuy's website or store to figure out whats best for your car.
