  1. get your rotors checked out. This is what is under the breaks and if they are damaged then they could be very expensive. Breaks will make noises if it is wet.

  2. d**n i don't know id say its definitely the break pads that are worn down to the metal but you said he fixed the breaks you have to bring it to an auto shop like jiffy lube or something and have them tell you, yea you also might want to give the new breaks time to wear in and see if it stops but usually that is the rubber on the break pads that have worn down to the metal

  3. Brake pads maybe?

  4. That is a very normal sound when the breaks are replaced.  The break pads from the manufacture have a coating on them and as you drive you will wear that coating down.  That and when you install new breaks you bleed the lines and this puts the pistons on the calipers right out really far and pushes the break pads up against the rotor.  When the break pads wear down then you will have a little bit of play between the rotor and the pad until then you just need to get the new pads broke in  hope this helps.

  5. No you don't need to be concerned. I have a 2001 Toyota Solara and it does the same thing. Sometimes it is the type of brake pads used but it is no danger. Or try washing your car real good because there can just be a bunch of brake pade dust in there. Don't be worried. I notice mine squeel more later in the day after driving more.

  6. No, you shouldt be concerned because the same happend iwth mine. The breaks are tight that's all they should loosen up

  7. DON'T WORRY.....Youyr dad installed brake pads with bi-metallic binding on them. They are supposed to hear the metal sound. The sound is the metal chips, that are in the webbing of the pad scraping aganist the rotor. If it bothers you to any great extent, TURN UP THE TUNES!!!!

  8. If you can afford it, take it to a Toyota dealer's garage for a look at.

  9. rotors maybe.
