  1. I LIKE "Marlenekay4's" answer, even though I have never heard of that!  The thing I do know is if you get your iPod wet, you need to let it dry it completely, and that usually means letting it sit for several days without doing anything to it at all - don't try to work it!  It needs to completely dry out.  Maybe the "uncooked rice" method will do the trick, but I would still let it sit there at least a couple of days or so.  That's actually really good to know, even though I've never dropped mine in water.  By the way, they do make waterproof cases, you know.  (It always amazes me how many people drop their iPods into water, and especially the toilet!!!)

  2. Yes dipping it in more liquid is definitely going to help the matter.... NOT...

Take out the battery and dry it out with a blow dryer on a COOL setting, then dry out on cool setting the inside where the batter sets in.   Let is sir over night with the battery out, and trey again in the morning.

  3. The best thing is to NOT try to turn it on for a bout a week while it dries, and if it still doesn't work, then time to go shopping for a new i pod.

  4. I read in smartcomputing magazine this month that when you drop it in water to put it in a bowl of uncooked rice and leave it for awhile (couple hours or as needed) and it will dry it out and you can use it again. The magazine said definitely do not blow dry it because it will over heat some components of it... Go to smartcomputing.com and go to read the articles, it is SEpt 2008, Vol. 19 issue 9, page 64, Troubleshoot and Fix Mobile Mishaps.
