  1. I am a manicurist and I say clean it first with regular soap and water, then add some antibiotic ointment (neosporin) and you can cover it with band-aids. Or gauze and tape. Ice it to keep swelling down. Tomorrow if it looks clean and no puss is there, clean it again and leave it to the air to heal. If the nail gets blood under it. You can relieve the pressure with a hot needle. Please look up the instructions on that.. If it ends up that you will lose the nail, leave it to come off all on its own.

The best thing is to keep it clean and dry, since bacteria love moisture.

  2. Ice it as much as possible to help with swelling, try some ibuprofen for the pain if it still hurts, and basically stay off of it and keep your foot propped up.

  3. Ice for the toe and glue for the plate. Ice for fifteen minutes at a time.

  4. Is it bleeding?

Anyway if it is you can treat it like any other cut, just wash it carefully first because our feet arn't always our cleanest bits as you know!

  5. ice to make the swelling go down. Other than that...just dont put too much pressure on it. Stay off your feet if it hurts.
