So, yesterday I was fishing and I felt in the water and my phone with me, after I pulled it from the water I saw that inside the buttons it had so much dirt and mud :((( I was so sad, I still feel like crying...I opened the battery and did not find water. I left the phone to dry and when i got home I cleaned it with a dust remover. I got out every piece of mud and now the phone is working like new... but I am scared of later... did anyone else had this problem, is the phone still working??? what do I do? I got the phone just 3 weeks ago :((( is it going to work or after a wile is going to break down?T-mobile said that i have 1 year warranty from blackberry... but will they replace it if is water damage?

  1. the same thing happd with my phone and it worked fine.the warranty doesnt cover water damage.

was it salt water?? coz if it was the salt might damage the wires over time if u drop ur fone in salt water your should rinse it in fresh water. but if none got it the battery it should be fine

    time will tell

  2. There are small strips of special 'paper' inside most phones which change color when exposed to water, so you will probably have issues with the warranty if you need repairs in the future.

You took care of the phone properly and it's working, though, so consider yourself lucky.

  3. Your insurance will cover it, just pay the deductible. Usually about 50 bucks and a 24 to 48 hour turnaround time.

For sure, your battery has water damage before, check the battery, there are some red dots on the battery, if they are pink, your phone isn't going to work.
