  1. It might be toast but try just leaving it alone to dry. Take the battery off so air circulates. Some people have had luck with that. You could also use a hairdryer on it but make sure it's on a low & cool setting. You don't want to melt anything sensitive.

I haven't heard about putting a wet phone in rice nor would I recommend that. While rice might be absorbent, you risk getting rice dust or small particles in places you don't want them.

I'm totally confused on the part about the mall. People go to the mall every day without cell phones. Why can't you?

    Good luck with the phone.

  2. I've never known of a cell phone surviving water damage.

  3. i was gonna say put in rice, but i don't think u have to put it in there for 2 days, maybe a couple hours just so it can soak up all the water

  4. EDITED ::::   Try putting the phone in the refrigerator. This may sound strange because most of us associate heat with the drying process. Actually the refrigerator cools things by drawing moisture out of things. Do not put the phone in the freezer as this can damage the LCD

(Liquid crystal display) After 30 minutes or so, take it out for about 10 minutes, and repeat until the phone is dry.
