First off i didn't do it intentionally, once it hit the water it stalled and turned off. The air filter is wet and drying out and working on the spark plugs now. I know that there is oil in the spark plugs, is that a really bad sign??

  1. *smacks you in the back of the head*

how is driving through flooded water unintentional? did the water sneak up on you and just as you drove through a wash of deep water it suddenly attacked you, and raped your poor honda? im just kidding...not a smart move but best of luck fixing it.

  2. sounds like its an electrical problem.. if you take out all the spark plugs and it still wont crank it either an electrical problem that i dont really know much about thats next semester or the water caused the rings and pistons to rust to the cylinder walls. try taking out the spark plugs and loading the pistons up with some kind of rust catalyst like pb blaster.

and you can accidently drive through flood water. at night or if there is a sudden dip in the road where the water collects.

  3. You may well have hydraulicked your engine (sucked up a load of water) This can do major damage and means a new engine. Get a local mechanic to take a look and advise.

  4. Firstly you deserve a smack against the backside of your head.  You DO NOT drive a car through flooded water.  Pull the plugs, pull the spark plug wires, remove the air filter.  Let it all dry out.  If there is a distributor cap, remove that too.  Hopefully, after every thing is dried out, and put back in the right order (spark plug wires), it will start.  If not, then the ECM has gotten wet, and it has sh** the bed.  Now, if that is the case, that is some serious coin.

  5. Do what the first guy said.  He is right, although I wouldn't do the smacking on the back of the head.  hehehehe

  6. i know you didnt hydrolock the motor but just for an extra tid bit of knowledge if u ever do. u dont nesicarilly have to go to a mechanic. had this prob on my 99 Si and all i did was. drain the oil. put more in. drain it again put more in. did it like 6 times and it cleared out all the water.
