  1. To solve for x, you just need to ^3 both sides of the equation.  It's just like how you square something to undo a square root-- you cube something to undo a cubed root.  So you will end up with:

    x = 12^3.

    Do the same thing to find what the second one should be

  2. Let √ be a cubed root.

    Question #1:

    Step 1: To eliminate the cubed root, raise both sides to the power of three. The cubed root and the exponent cancel out.

    12 = √x

    (12)ˆ3 = (√x)ˆ3

    (12)ˆ3 = x

    Step 2: Simplify

    (12)ˆ3 = x

    12 • 12 • 12 = x

    1728 = x (<==ANSWER!!)

    Question #2:

    Step 1: To eliminate the cubed root, raise both sides to the power of three. The cubed root and the exponent cancel out.

    15 = √x

    (15)ˆ3 = (√x)ˆ3

    (15)ˆ3 = x

    Step 2: Simplify.

    (15)ˆ3 = x

    15 • 15 • 15 = x

    3375 = x (<==ANSWER!!)

    Hope I helped!

  3. easier if you look at roots as exponents a cube root is to the (1/3) power how do you cancel (1/3) ... multiply by (3/1) in the exponent on both sides to get x= 12^3

    2. same principle what is 15^3 (15 cubed)

  4. 1. 1728

    2. 3375

  5. All you have to do is cube both sides of the equation.

    The answer is 12x12x12 or 15x15x15.

    Cubing the square root will leave you with just x on one side and the answer on the other.

  6. first problem x=12^3=1728

    second problem x=15^3=3375

  7. the first one is 4

    the second is 5

  8. Just cube both sides of the equation to get rid of the third-root sign. So, for #41, you do 12 cubed which is 1728, and that is x. then you do the same thing for #42. 15 cubed, or 3375.

  9. now now, no cheating! *try to find a calculator on google. that always helped me lol Good luck*
